DESCRIPTION

"Icons of Greatness" is a program that seeks to involve youth participation in the search for heroes and important events through itinerary-making and poster-making competitions.

From the tourism perspective, "icons" may be significant people, places or events in the Philippine history that have been translated and memorialized into shrines, landmarks, heritage sites and museums.

Fun component stems from continuously learning about our historic past and the "icons" through an outdoor laboratory - tourism, as in a tour itinerary, with elements allowing a journey through our past.

It is a three-tiered program.


• Through research, one gathers all data regarding a specific icon and why it is considered as someone or something of outstanding    importance or eminence.
• Creativity is how one will present that icon in the form of a poster or flyer of tour itinerary.
• Tour itinerary is the combination of icons of greatness and tourism-related destinations, events, activities and establishments.
