

COMPETITION RULES
GENERAL RULES:
1. The tour itinerary and poster should feature at least one of the Icons of Greatness.
2. Incorporate "It's More Fun in the Philippines" theme in the "Icons of Greatness".
3. Open to all Filipino youth ages 15 to 30 years old (RA No. 8044 Section 2 - Policy) residing in the Philippines.
4. Each contestant must present a proof of his/her age by submitting a birth certificate and any of the following IDs:
> Valid student identification card (ID) with photograph.
> Issued by the government (Driver's License, Voter's ID, Postal ID, NBI)
If in case the contestant has no valid ID, a barangay certification should be presented stating the age of the contestant.
5. Employees and relatives of the organizing and coordinating agencies, partner agencies/institutions, board of judges and sponsors up to the 4th degree of consanguinity shall be inelligible to join.
6. A person can only submit one entry within the contest period.
7. A completely filled-out contest submission/participation form that can be downloaded from www.iconsofgreatness.wix.com/tourism or requested from the Department of Tourism, Office of the Director for Tourism Planning and Promotions - Domestic Tourism Promotions, Rm. 417, 4th Floor, DOT Bldg., T.M. Kalaw St., Manila.
8. Submission of entry should be in hard (printed in bond paper with legal size 8.5" x 14") and soft (CD) copies together with the participation form and valid ID.
9. The entries shall be judged by a Board of Judges, composed of a wide spectrum of experts in their field.

LIMITATIONS OF TOUR ITINERARY AND POSTER MAKING

Participants agree that submissions shall not contain, include or involve any of the following:
> Obscenity, crude, vulgar or offensive pictures, depictions, images, language and/or symbols.
> Gang signs/symbols.
> Explicit sexual activity and nudity.
> Illegal drug or alcohol use.
> Commercial products and/or their trademarks, brands. logos or endorsements aside from those identified as pre-existing materials.
> Derogatory characterizations of any ethnic, racial, sexual, or religious groups, humiliation of other people (publicly or otherwise), any assault or threatening of others.
> All entries shall be considered as the intellectual property of the Department of Tourism. By submitting an entry, participants consent to the use of their work entry and personal information, including name, poster and itinerary, without compensation in any publicity (promo collaterals) carried out by the agencies, partners and sponsors.
